5th Special Forces, Ban Me Thuot.

I was assigned to a Special Forces group along with a Civilian Defense Force Group to fly into the Montgnard  Village at Buon Ya Soup on a rescue mission.  I was briefed by Lt. Col. Rountree of the 5th Special Forces Group that the Montgnard village was in the path of a major NVA infiltration route. VC and NVA had used the village as a resting point and source of food. Advisors had tiger uniforms and made me put one on so as to not stand out. Here we’re waiting to airlift into the village.
