
| The food pyramid shows the major food groups with the amount of servings in each group. Each of these food groups provides some of the nutrients you need daily. It is better to center your diet around the foods at the base of the Pyramid, and eat less of the foods at the top of the Pyramid. Always eat the minimum number of recommended servings, if you're intending to loose weight and eat the maximum number of servings to gain weight. Always try to choose nonfat and lean groups as often as possible in case of milk choose nonfat, and lean meat instead of fatty meat. |
