Lake ABATE is one of 17 chapters of A.B.A.T.E. of South Dakota.  A.B.A.T.E. is an acronym for A Brotherhood of Awareness, Training, and Education.  The function of Lake Chapter of ABATE is to support ABATE of SD and IMPAC.  IMPAC is the Informed Motorcyclists Political Action Committee which is the political arm of ABATE of SD.

Lake ABATE has approximately 70 members and has monthly membership meetings.

Chapter News


Lake ABATE members met with
District 8 State Senator Jordan Youngberg (second from left) during a recent trip to the State Capitol in Pierre.  It is quite an honor to be invited onto the
floor of the senate.

Lake ABATE members  recently attended ABATE Legislative Days in Pierre.  L. to R.  Dan Nugent, Gary Reinicke, Deb Reinicke, Jiggs Cressy (State Coordinator), Jim Mannie, Kim Verhey, Aaron Verhey (State Vice-Coordinator).

Jim Mannie (right), Lake Chapter Treasurer, received the ABATE of SD Coordinators Award from State Coordinator Jiggs Cressy.  This is the highest award that a member of ABATE of SD can receive.
