Karl is Court Administrator for the 2nd Judicial Circuit in South Dakota.  He went to college at the University of Alaska Fairbanks,  graduate school for his Masters at the University of Alaska Anchorage, and now he's completely lost his mind and is beginning a PhD at the University of South Dakota.  

Until recently, Heidi was a partner with the Minnesota-based law firm of Quinlivan & Hughes, but in March 2010 she became in-house counsel with American Family Insurance based in the corporate office in Sioux Falls.   She's licensed to practice in South Dakota and Minnesota, went to law school at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and graduate school and college at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
