Bonnie and I met on a February 14th at a Valentine's dance in Dell Rapids South Dakota 45 years ago. I think I knew that night that this was the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. As you can see, she was a beautiful girl; she still is. I was a shy, skinny kid with no money and I couldn't dance, so I don't know why she let me hang around, but she did. The next Valentine's Day, I sent her a dozen roses. We were married five years later.

Forty-five Valentine's Days and several hundred roses later we are still together . I love her now more than ever. She says she loves me too, but I still don't understand why.
