For the second year in a row Jerkstore has won the metal album of the year award from Just Plain Folks Organization. Jerkstore accepted the 2002 metal album of the year award at The Highlands in Hollywood, CA. in March 2003 for it's "Circus Therapy" release. Jerkstore was honored once again to accept the 2004 metal album of the year award at the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, CA. in November 2004 for it's "Fade" release. The event was moved from the Avalon to the Galaxy Theater. What a good time... great performances from an amazingly diverse group of musicians. Nominees and performers came from as far away as Lithuania and Japan!! We were honored to be a part of the event and would like to thank founder Brian Austin Whitney for sharing his vision with others. "We're all in this together." The 2004 Rock & Roots Compilation!

Jerkstore's song "Fade" appears on this year's OASIS Best of Rock & Roots Compilation: An Essential
Music Library for the Rock Programmer, vol. 25. This 4-disc, 80-song sampler is for promotional/radio use
on a national level and it was put together by the fine folks at OASIS CD Manufacturing in Virginia. It
highlights some of the best recording artists that OASIS has to offer, and is distributed to radio
stations, record companies and music biz folks across the country. Many music industry insiders have asked to hear each sampler as it comes out. Samplers have charted repeatedly in CMJ(College Media Journal). Samplers feature a mix of "name" acts, such as Three Doors Down, and "unknowns."

2002 Metal album of the year award!

Jerkstore was at The Highlands in Hollywood, CA. in March 2003 to accept the Just Plain Folks 2002 metal album of the year award for "Circus Therapy." The Highlands complex is host to the Kodak Theater and the Oscars. James T. joked that there is more than just cattle and corn being grown in South Dakota. That got a chuckle out of the crowd. People normally don't think of great metal bands coming from the Midwest but we have many- "311" and "Slipknot" just to name a couple of the more obvious. Jerkstore also took home awards for third place in Best Industrial Song category for "Don't Blame Me", 3rd place in Best Metal Song category for "One World", and fourth place in Best Metal Song category for "Frozen." All three of these songs appear on the Circus Therapy release. Wolfgang Puck served food and drink at the event that night and a good time was had by all. Over 100,000 songs and nearly 8,000 albums were entered into the competition, which was judged by a mix of music industry professionals, Just Plain Folks staff and fans. The 2003 JP Folks awards event is scheduled for October 2004.

Jerkstore on the Sci-Fi Network!

The Sci-Fi Network television series "First Wave" showcased three of Jerkstore's original songs from the "Jerks Rule" release. The Sci-Fi channel played "Dead Dreaming" and "Black" on the "Playland" episode which aired on 12/29/99 during the second season. Dead Dreaming is haunting in the background while the character Cade Foster is tied to the tracks awaiting certain death at the hands of a speeding rollercoaster. You'll have to watch the episode to see how he makes out. The song Black erupts over the loud speakers like a hurricane just as two rival gangs engage in a deadly battle; complete anarchy and chaos ensues. The song "Crazy" sets the mood for a cool club scene during the "Underworld" episode, which aired on 05/31/00.

Number 1 On Metal Charts!

"Black", the lead track from the "Jerks Rule" disc was the number one download on MP3.COM's metal charts for six consecutive months from May thru October of 1999. Jerkstore had a total of 40,000 downloads of their songs on MP3.COM.
