| When we went into Cathouse Studios we had high expectations, all of which were exceeded by Mike. He created a comfortable, yet professional environment and was awesome to work with. Over the course of four days we went from having self-recorded, low-quality basement recordings to professional standard, radio-friendly tracks. Heard the rECKLESS eDDY stuff on Loud and Local and was totally impressed. The production sounded huge. I was especially impressed with the vocal mix/effects. That usually seems to be what's lacking in local recordings. The Jerkstore stuff sounded great too. Thought I'd tell you. It's got me excited about doing some recording. |

The Cathouse is a very nice and
easy going place to make your music come to life, Mike is a very talented guy.
When our band arrived to record, right away we felt right at home, therefore
it was comfortable to record. And not to mention the very affordable price
along with it, but most importantly he made us sound much better then what we
all expected. The Cathouse is the place to record.

We didn't expect much coming into the Cathouse (circa 2001). It was a fairly new studio in Sioux Falls, South Dakota....... I mean how great could it be? We were very pleasantly surprised. Mike and Amy had unbelievable hospitality. They made us feel very at home and comfortable. Mike is a very talented guy. I suggest to any bands going into the Cathouse, be open to new ideas with your songs. Make sure Mike knows that you are. He has some amazing ideas. We ended up using just about every idea Mike had....very talented. I guess our most appreciated aspect of Cathouse Productions would have to be that Mike and Amy honestly want the best for everyone that comes to them. The aren't happy unless everyone that enters their studio, leaves sounding like a national act. And they have the equipment and talent to do it. Hell..........they even made us sound decent, and that's something. |

I'd personally like to thank Mike for taking the time away from his family as well as his other interests in order to help complete what has been the longest nightmare of my life (Circus Therapy). It is not an easy job for anyone to work with us in the studio, but he is pulling it off with flying colors!!! As of right now we have logged well over (many) hours in mixing alone! We still sound nothing like Def Leppard.. Funny,huh? (editor's note - That's good, right????.....) |
