Huge News!!!!!

Cathouse Studios is moving!  We have just acquired a new studio space and are hard at work on getting it ready for the general public.  What does this mean for you, our valued clients?  It means extended working hours day and evenings!  It also will allow us to offer the very best in live tracking of bands and groups in the area.  This new place is BIG!  Photos will be posted as soon as the new digs are completed.  We are excited to say the least!  Also, last but very certainly not least, Eldon Fisher is coming on board as the second engineer for Cathouse Studios.  We are very glad Eldon is joining us in helping provide the best value and product possible.  Eldon is a very experienced musician, having spent over 12 years on the road in touring bands such as Wakefield and Crash Alley.  He has a great ear for production and will be a big asset for bands in need of guidance during the recording of their projects.

Important!!!! New Rates Changes Are Now In Effect, Please Read!

Cathouse has maintained the same extremely low rates for over five years now.  It has now come time to make a change in respect to our pricing and payment plans.  Effective immediately, our studio rate has changed from $25 an hour to $35 an hour.  The move to the new location has, unfortunately, necessitated this due to new overhead costs.  The upside is the new studio offers a much more professional and functional environment, that we feel (as well as the clients who have experienced it) makes the new rate more agreeable.

One other change of note is that we now accept PayPal.  If you don't have the cash, you can now charge your recording time to your credit card via a PayPal payment.  Be advised that a 3% fee will be charged to you for using PayPal to pay for your studio time.

Cathouse Productions Makes An Impact On The Kansas City Warped Tour Lineup

Four bands from the Lincoln Nebraska area recently recorded at the Cathouse: JV Allstars, Same Old Crap, Good With Guns and Youth In Asia will all be making an appearance on the Ernie Ball stage at this summer's Warped tour stop in Kansas City.  Mucho congratulations goes out to each one of these bands on their well deserved success!  All these bands, plus a couple more that have recorded at the Cathouse (Miles On End and The Cover Story) will be on Suckapunch Records latest comp entitled "No Coast".  If you make the trip to Kansas City, stop and take the time to see these great bands and tell 'em Mike from Cathouse says hi!

"An Electric Christmas"

No, it's not too soon to be thinking about getting some Christmas music for the upcoming holiday season.  Local musician Bret Ferguson has lined up some great local guitarists to create a CD chock full of Christmas tunes with a modern electric guitarist's touch!  Local musicians include: Bret Ferguson, Geoff Gunderson (local guitar legend), Eldon Fisher (Jerkstore, ex. Crash Alley), Chris Beyer (Kory and the Fireflies), Steve Grimes (Sugardaddy, all around guitar genius), Brian Detmer (Stranded With Norman, ex Freeloaders), Carey Hofer, Denis Kaufman, Eli Logan (Leghorn), Jeff Koller (local drum legend), Tom Likely (13 Noon) and Mike Dresch (Swim, Cathouse Productions).  I am pleased to say that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this disc are going to charity.   Cathouse will be involved in the next "An Electric Christmas" for 2005 so be sure to watch for it.
